The faeries came and took me away
And we sang and danced for about a day.
When I returned, ‘twas to the passing of years,
With nothing familiar, but my frustrated tears.
My family has gone, and no body’s home,
It seems I have been left quite alone.
The children I once knew are now grey and old,
And I cannot explain, for they will not be told.
All I have for those charmed, hellish hours,
Is a wreath of beautiful, nightmarish flowers.
